For those who are too squeamish to sit through the entirety of the UCG GCE “Sabbath Services”, may I present this gem of a two-minute clip from same, that absolutely proves my point that United Church of God is an almost identical carbon copy of “the one true church” as it existed in the heyday of Armstrongism.

There are some superficial differences, but they are more on the order of, minor inconsistencies that resulted from the branching off of the universe in 1995.

  • The Ambassador College seal says “United” instead of “Worldwide”.
  • “Lo, I shall be with you always.” That added “s” on the end just sounds weird.

I really can’t see any other differences. For those outsiders (yes, I realize there are only two of you) reading this look into the church’s past, this video is exactly how I spent part of my childhood (the somewhat enjoyable part at least).

Of course, we had no idea what we were actually singing. That’s just the way it was, in the parallel universe.
